1. Who we are

SavePoint ("we", "us") publishes general educational content about PC gaming at this website. You can reach us at yanli20140223@gmail.com or through our contact page.

2. The short version

We do not ask you to register, we do not sell your data, and the tools on this site run entirely in your browser — nothing you type into them is transmitted to us. The backlog tracker saves your list in your own browser's local storage. We do use third-party advertising, which involves cookies set by Google. Details below.

3. Information we collect

Information you give us

If you email us or use the contact form, we receive whatever you choose to send — typically a name, an email address and your message. We use it to reply and, if relevant, to correct published content. We do not add you to a mailing list.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard technical information when you load a page: IP address, browser type, referring page, and the pages requested. This is used for security and for aggregate traffic measurement. It is not linked to a personal identity by us.

Local storage

The backlog tracker stores your game list in your browser's local storage under the key sp-backlog-v1. This never leaves your device and is not readable by us. Clearing your browser's site data removes it permanently.

4. Cookies and advertising

This site displays advertising served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info.

Where required by law, a consent banner lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies before they are set. We do not otherwise set tracking cookies.

5. Third-party links

Guides link to external sites — game publishers, platform documentation, driver download pages. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites. We do not use affiliate links.

6. Children

This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Your rights

If you have emailed us, you can ask what we hold, request a correction, or ask us to delete it — write to yanli20140223@gmail.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. Under GDPR and similar frameworks you may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. Disclaimer

Content on SavePoint is general educational information about PC gaming, not professional technical support for your specific machine. Steps that change system settings, drivers or storage are performed at your own discretion — back up your data first. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any game publisher, platform holder or hardware manufacturer, and trademarks belong to their respective owners. Game menus and Windows settings change over time; if an option has moved, check the developer's current documentation.

We will update this page when practices change and revise the date above. Substantive changes will be flagged at the top of the page for a reasonable period.
